Building a Brighter Future in Rokassa
An Update from The Sierra Leone Collective
We’re excited to share encouraging progress from the Rokassa Project—an initiative launched by The Sierra Leone Collective, a collaboration between EduNations, World Hope International, and Jericho Road Global Health Ministries.
This partnership was formed to meet urgent infrastructure needs at the EduNations Hope Academy and surrounding community in Rokassa—focusing on solar energy, sanitation, clean water, and connectivity. Together, we are creating a healthier, safer, and more sustainable learning environment for the students and families EduNations serves.
✅ What We've Accomplished So Far
💧 Sanitation System Nearing Completion
The new sanitation system is finished, with 36 waste treatment tanks installed at the clinic, guesthouse, and dormitories. This project marks a major step forward in improving hygiene and public health for students, staff, and visitors.
📡 Internet Connectivity Established
Due to support from our collaborative efforts, Starlink internet service has been fully installed and is now operational. School administrators are finalizing user registration, paving the way for expanded digital access, remote communication, and improved learning tools.
🔆 Solar Power Installation in Progress
The solar project is well underway. Equipment for Phases 1–3—which includes the dormitories, church, and guesthouse—has been delivered, and installation is actively moving forward. Once complete, this system will provide consistent, renewable energy to critical parts of the campus.
What’s Next?
To finish the work in Rokassa, we need:
Why It Matters
Every child deserves to learn in a place that is clean, safe, and full of opportunity. The Sierra Leone Collective is making that vision a reality—not just through education, but by addressing the physical needs that surround our students and their families every day.
We’re deeply grateful for your generosity that has made this possible. Together, we are the village—and together, we are bringing hope, health, and transformation to one of the most remote communities in Sierra Leone.
Let’s finish what we’ve started.
Your continued support will help bring lasting change to Rokassa—one solar panel, one latrine, and one clean water source at a time.
