From Muslim Home to Worship Leader

Kumba Saccoh grew up in the remote village of Momorimaria in a Muslim family. As a young girl, she attended a Quranic school and was raised according to her family's religious traditions. Today, she lives with her grandmother, who cares for her and provides for her daily needs.
When Kumba enrolled at EduNations in 2024, she was looking for an education.
Growing up in Momorimaria meant there were few opportunities to pursue formal schooling close to home. Even today, EduNations is still the nearest school available to her, requiring her to travel approximately five miles each day to attend classes.
But as Kumba faithfully made that journey to school, God was at work in her life.
Through regular chapel services, church gatherings, and the consistent teaching of God's Word, Kumba came to know Jesus Christ. She made the personal decision to follow Him, and over time, her faith continued to grow.
Today, the young girl who was raised in a Muslim home now serves as the Praise and Worship Leader at the EPC Momorimaria Church Plant. She is also one of the church's founding members—a testimony to God's transforming work in her life.
At school, Kumba has developed meaningful friendships with fellow students who encourage her academically and spiritually. She has also built strong relationships with teachers and school leaders who have faithfully mentored and encouraged her along the way. Through these relationships, she has grown in confidence, character, and leadership, while remaining committed to serving both her church and her community.
Today, Kumba is a dedicated student and a faithful young leader whose life points others toward Christ.
Her story reminds us that God is still changing lives. Through the faithful teaching of His Word, the encouragement of Christian community, and the opportunity to learn and grow, He continues to call young people to Himself and equip them to serve others.
What began as a walk to school has become a journey of faith.
