Child Protection Agents

Child Protection Agents at EduNations Schools

Child Protection Agents (CPAs) are vital members of the EduNations community, serving as frontline advocates for the safety, rights, and well-being of students at each school. Their role is to ensure a protective and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive free from harm and abuse.

Key responsibilities of Child Protection Agents include:

  • Monitoring and Reporting: CPAs actively monitor the school environment to identify any signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation affecting students. They promptly report concerns to the school Social Workers and relevant authorities to ensure timely intervention.

  • Advocacy and Education: CPAs educate students, parents, teachers, and community members about children’s rights, protection policies, and the importance of creating safe spaces. They advocate against harmful practices such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), early marriage, and drug abuse.

  • Support and Referral: When students face psychosocial challenges or protection risks, CPAs provide initial support and guidance. They work closely with Social Workers to refer children and families to counseling, healthcare, or other necessary services.

  • Collaboration: CPAs collaborate with school staff, Social Workers, community leaders, and external agencies to build a coordinated approach to child protection, ensuring the welfare of all students.

  • Promoting Safe School Attendance: CPAs encourage and support regular school attendance by addressing barriers related to child protection concerns.

Through their commitment and vigilance, Child Protection Agents play a crucial role in upholding EduNations’ mission to provide a safe, empowering, and inclusive educational environment for every child.
