Gbenekoro

Located in the extremely remote portion of the north eastern Koinadugu District, ten miles east of the city of Kabala in the heart of the Wara Wara mountains, the village of Gbenekoro is home to the largely unreached Kuranko Tribe.

In this community, EduNations supports both a local government primary school and clinic, and has recently built and operates the area’s only Junior Secondary School.  With the addition of a clean water-well, a church, power for the school and new latrines; hope has come to one of the “darkest” places in West Africa.
